History of Joe Sports....
Mary Anne began thinking about sports themed greeting cards circa 1987. Finding sports related cards few and far between, she wondered why there was not a line of greeting cards to appeal to the sports mania across America! After 30 years of searching for this idea of hers to appear on the market shelves, she finally recruited the talents of her adult children to help fulfill her dream of Joe Sports greeting cards.
In 2017, with a lifetime of work experience - a lot of which was in corporate America - now a registered nurse, Mary Anne was determined to stop dreaming and start acting, and formed Joe Sports, LLC.
About the Artist and the process…
Joe Sports artist, Matt Nigro, has enjoyed drawing his entire life. He has been a true sports fan just as long. Also a painter, Matt enjoys working with acrylics and oils. Some of his work has been inspired by beautiful places he has traveled to, while others are simply a creation of his imagination and talent. Matt was born in Denver, and lived there until moving to Massachusetts where he graduated from Medway High School, and University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He now resides in beautiful Colorado.
Matt provides the hand-drawn original artwork to his sister, Jeanie, of Massachusetts, who, with lots of TLC and computer skill, produces the unique brand of greeting card that is Joe Sports! We then hand over our combined efforts to a local printer. BSE Print Solutions is also a family owned and operated, women owned business in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
